The purpose of this section in Zachary's website, is to illustrate some of the different types of Amazon pets around the world. Some of the participants below were adopted as babies, and some as adults in their second homes or more. The ones here adopted at babies were fortunate to have loving parents right from the beginning, and the ones that were adopted/rescued as adults have finally found parents that love them and are now in good homes. THESE BIRDS ARE NOT FOR SALE, so please do not inquire for that purpose. This is a gallery of pet amazons. The pictures are presented beginning with Zachary, and then in the order of when we received them:

ZACHARY - Double Yellow Head. Adopted at 10 months, on April 18, 1999; directly from breeder. In 1st & only home. Hatch date: June 24, 1998. USA Parents: Sabrina and Mark

MAKANI - Blue Fronted. Adopted at 5 1/2 months, in November 1995. In 1st & only home. Hatch month: June 1995. USA

 

CHARLIE - Red Lored. Wild caught baby, adopted at 6 months, on March 10, 1990. In 1st & only home. Hatch month: September 1989. USA Parents: Judy and Jerry

 

SUNNY, ANGEL, BUD, TIGER, SUGAR - Double Yellow Heads (Regular and Magnas). & FRANCIS - Red Lored. First & only homes for: Sunny - adopted at 9 months on Sept 17, 1987. Tiger & Angel are both siblings, adopted together at 9 months on July 23, 1991. 2nd homes for: Francis - adopted at 4 years on April 9, 1988; Sugar - adopted at 4 years on Oct 19, 1988; Bud - adopted at 4 years on Sept 21, 1992. PEANUT (Top) - Yellow Fronted. Adopted at 5 months, in 1999, now in 2nd home. PEACHES (Bottom) - Yellow Nape. Adopted at 8 weeks of age in 2000. In 1st & only home. USA Parent: Marsha

 

PEPE (Top) - Blue Fronted. Adopted at 5-1/2 years old in 1998, now in his  second & permanent home. Hatch date: April 1992. OSCAR (Bottom) - Yellow Crowned. Adopted at 15 months, on April 23, 2001. In his 1st & only home. Hatch date: January 11, 2000. USA Parents: Wally & Linda

 

TOBY - Blue Fronted. Adopted at 4 months, on October 21, 2000. In 1st & only home. Hatch date: June 2, 2000. USA Parents: Peggy and Don

 

CALLE - Blue Fronted. Adopted at 9 months, in March 1996; now in 2nd home. USA Parent: Linda
